Daniel
Gonzalez - Chairman of the Board
Daniel
Gonzalez is one of the original founders of FutaFriends. Daniel,
born and raised in Chile, has been a long-time environmental
activist in Chile, advocating for the protection of Chile's
free-flowing rivers and Patagonia's wilderness. Daniel represented
FutaFriends for 9 years as the organization's Executive Director,
prior to moving to Puerto Varas to work as Pumalin's
representative for the Patagonia Without Dams Campaign. |

| Laura
MacNeil - Treasurer of the Board
Laura MacNeil is a recent member to the FutaFriends
Board. Laura lives in Martha's Vineyard during Chile's winter
and the Noroeste Valley in Chile's summer. Laura and her husband,
Seaver Jones, support FutaFriends goal of protecting the Espolon
Valley from future gold-mining development, as well as conserving
the Futaleufu Valley's watershed and culture. |

| Wendy
McDermott - Secretary of the Board
Wendy McDermott joined the FutaFriends Board of Directors
in April 2008. She is the Executive Director of the High Country
Citizens Alliance, a Colorado-based non-profit organization
fighting the development of a mine near to Crested Butte,
Colorado. Wendy brings a wealth of knowledge in the area of
non-profit management and the necessary steps toward fighting
a mining project. Wendy first came to Futaleufu in March 2008,
when she was volunteering for the Conservation Land Trust
in developing the Patagonia National Park. |

Don
Weeden - Board Member
Don Weeden is the Executive Director of the Weeden
Foundation and one of the original founders
of FutaFriends. Through the Weeden Foundation, Don has finance
several organizations and projects working to defend Chile's
biodiversity and wilderness. Don is an active member of the
Comite para la Defensa de la Patagonia, representing the Weeden
Foundation and FutaFriends interests in the campaign. The
Weeden family have been land-owners in the Futaleufu Valley
for many years, and have constantly supported FutaFriends
protection of the river valley. |

Skinner - Board Member
Peter Skinner is the Senior Environmental Scientist
for E2G Solar, a NY-based renewable energy consulting group.
Peter is a whitewater enthusiast and founding board member
of FutaFriends. Pete has been a participating member of the
board since the organization's inception. |

Chris
Spelius - Board Member
Chris Spelius is the owner of Expediciones
Chile and founding member of FutaFriends.
Chris has supported FutaFriends in the past and present through
in-kind contributions and access to supportive clients. Chris
has always been supportive of FutaFriends and represents the
interests of the main whitewater outfitters in the region. |

| Claudio
Morales - Board Member
Claudio Morales is a landowner in the Espolon Lake
and the newest member to the FutaFriends Board of Directors.
Claudio recently finished a year-long sabbatical in Australia,
focused on community development, looking forward to implementing
some of his experience in the Espolon Valley. Claudio is a
native Chilean from Santiago, with years of experience working
in the city's banking district. He is looking forward to fighting
the proposed mines in the Espolon Valley and protecting the
entire Futaleufu River Valley from unsustainable development
projects. |
