The Futaleufu River is part of a pristine environment that makes up the Futaleufu River Valley, including the Valleys of Espolon, Noroeste and Azul. Mining and dam interests are threatening the environmental quality of the region, with plans to forever alter the dynamic of the Futaleufu River Valley. Below is a Gallery of Photographs taken by Chilean Photographer - Sebastian Alvarez - an avid supporter of FutaFriends and the protection of the Futaleufu.

FutaFriends is a 501(c)(3) non-profit private charity whose mission is to ensure the free-flow of the Futaleufu River and protect the natural resources of its watershed through community stewardship, education and sustainable development for current and future generations.

Visitors interested in obtaining a high quality version of the photos below, please email contact"at"futafriends.org All photos are available for sale and a small percentage of the proceeds will be directed to FutaFriends.
